She uses a wide-range of techniques in her classes that add variety and aid learning/retention (e.g., some theory, computer visuals, guided stretching, weight training, outdoor walking experience). As an instructor, Dawn is clearly knowledgeable about the shoulder and related systems, but is also particularly adept at describing these systems and helping students understand and get in tune with their bodies. Dawn helps you understand why you hurt and how to fix yourself. She will give hands on treatment when needed and then teach you to improve your body through small movements of your skeleton. Her skills are amazing. She has help me, my husband, and my daughter. Dawn is our go to.

Dawn takes the time to know each person in the class and addresses each persons concerns. I will be taking the plantar fasciitis clinic next!

What’s different about working with Dawn is that not only does she listen, she acts on what you tell her. I want a therapist who doesn’t spend most of the session talking at me, but who has me do the exercises repeatedly so that I feel confident in doing them on my own. Also, Dawn doesn’t hesitate to take a couple of minutes to massage or stretch the area that’s causing me pain. I’ve been frustrated by other therapists who seem to not want to do that kind of work. I’m learning from Dawn how to make foundational changes so that I won’t have to see a therapist as often! I recommend Dawn without hesitation.

This is a great class for people who are motivated to learn and practice skills that will improve the common shoulder aches and pains. Dawn teaches you how to get in tune with your body and to find the subtle ways to make improvements. Practicing the skills is the hard part, but it is worth the reward!
