I highly recommend the plantar fasciitis clinic. I came in with pain post-surgery (years afterward), and Dawn has been incredible in helping me understand what I’m experiencing and how I can support my body’s healing journey. I was experiencing Plantar Fasciitis pain in my left heel for almost a year. I had been to physical therapy, had custom orthotics made for me, and was wearing an air cast to bed at night. The pain still persisted. I had taken a passive baseline class at Baseline Body Mind and learned that Dawn was going to be offering a 3 class series for Plantar Fasciitis. I decided to sign up because I had nothing to lose and everything to gain. During the series, Dawn taught us about how Plantar Fasciitis is a system issue and not just a heel issue. She explained the body's fascia system and its interconnectedness. We learned stretches, focused on techniques to improve our gait, practiced the functional pattern, and Dawn explained the “why” behind all of it. We took toe extension and dorsiflexion measurements at the beginning of the first class, and then measured again during the third class to measure improvement. I am happy to say that because of what we practiced in class and implemented at home, I no longer have pain in my left heel! Dawn is super knowledgeable about body mechanics and is great at meeting students where they are in their journey. Since we're all different, she offers accommodations based on each individual's unique physical limitations. She's a patient, calm, caring teacher, and is invested in helping her clients feel better, both mentally and physically.
